QNX shows off its versatility, powers OnStar accessories as well as floundering tablets

Back in April of 2010, RIM snatched up a little known property called QNX, which primarily powered in-car infotainment systems. As we all know, that little OS eventually became the platform on which the PlayBook was built — but QNX hasn’t left the dashboard behind completely. LG Enlighten to achieve retail zen September 22nd on Verizon

There are a number of ways to achieve inner-peace, like years of meditation, for example — or you could just pick up an $80 Android handset. LG finally made official the release of its Enlighten handset today. The Gingerbread phone features a 3.2-inch display, a QWERTY slide out keyboard, a 3.2 megapixel camera and an 800MHz processor.

Instagram goes 2.0, gets even more filter-happy

Exceedingly popular iPhone photo app Instagram is celebrating its big (version) 2.0 with the addition of a number of new features. At the top of the list is Live Filters, which let you view images through effects in real-time, before taking a photo. Filters have been sped up post-picture taking as well, as has the tilt-shift function.
