Before and after. Orange disappears just in time for pumpkin season If you want an orange Smart Cover for your iPad 2, you’d better hurry to a third-party reseller and buy one now — Apple has discontinued the fruit-flavored plastic cover in a reshuffle of the Smart Cover lineup. As you can see in the before and after picture above, the presumably unpopular orange has gone, replaced by a dark gray polyurethane version. This means that the dull and unadventurous buyer will no longer be forced to pay for an expensive leather cover if they want to express their inner insipidness.
A wrist-mounted note storage and retrieval system My mother used to tell me and my brother that writing on our hands would give us “blood poisoning.” Years later, I still write on my skin, and I’m still alive (despite also poisoning my blood nightly with whisky). This is the Plattan from Urbanears, and it is designed to be a classic looking set of headphones. Right now, I am listening to them now, and I’m pretty pleased with their performance. The style seems to shun the rubberized look of most cushioned headphones, and the cord has a 47 inch tangle resistant fabric cord. The top is also full of fabric as well, and it really is nice.
It’s compact, it’s cute and it’s weird. But it might be your perfect netbook. Google’s Chromebook family isn’t apt to ever be an end-all solution — particularly for those that aren’t married to the company’s suite of web-based products — and we’re pretty sure Samsung’s taking notes on how to make the eventual followup to the Series 5 even better
