An intensely granular, gripping look inside Toshiba’s Dynario fuel-cell

We won’t pretend that we weren’t excited when Toshiba finally launched its long talked about Dynario fuel-cell — the first of its kind for consumer electronics. If you don’t know already, the direct methanol fuel-cell ( DMFC ) boasts its own fuel cartridge (which takes approximately 20 seconds to fill) with a concentrated methanol solution, resulting in its ability to charge USB devices on the go. Well, Tech-On ‘s gotten a hold of one of these bad boys, and they’ve taken plenty of photos of its innards, allowing us a unique opportunity to see what its all about. A few interesting observations they make: the cell itself — which sells for ?29,800 (about $328) — is definitely worth the money.

Google Goggles gets video demo on Sony Ericsson Xperia X10

There’s little sense in resisting the obvious: Google is slowly but surely taking over your life , but rather than get indignant and discombobulated, we’d suggest letting go and appreciating how much easier things are with the folks in Mountain View squarely in control. Take Google Goggles , for instance, which aims to convert cameraphone images into useful search results on its own Android platform.

Another Google Nexus One sighting, this time a wee bit more clear

How a phone given to thousands of employees still manages to be nothing more than an occasional blip on the internets continues to boggle our mind. This latest Nexus One / “Google Phone” sighting comes care of two Twitter chatters — @djrobrob and the less protected account of @phillm. It’s the clearest shot of the interface we’ve gotten, and given our previous go-to videos have been subsequently pulled, the best “motion picture” interpretation we’ve got — take a look for yourself after the break. Artopz Minitopz Ion-based nettop lamp rains down confusion, wonder

We don’t get it. At all. That said, we’re totally enamored with this Artopz Minitopz, which manages to both be an impressively-specced Atom and Ion-based nettop , and simultaneously a completly confounding piece of “art.” Apparently it’s supposed to be perceived as a lamp, but we’d say that stretches the limits of imagination
